Race Plan

The Richmond Riviera Regatta combines all the things that we love about sailing on San Francisco Bay. At the Richmond Riviera Regatta you'll experience:

Great Sailing: San Francisco Bay in August provides abundant wind and warm sunshine.

Two Course Areas: "Deepwater Course" for IRC and bigger PHRF boats in the Central Bay and the "Riviera Course" for smaller PHRF boats in the North Bay. One design boats get to choose!

Experienced Race Committees: The Richmond Yacht Club regularly hosts National and International regattas, and Club members compete at all levels in everything from dinghies to bluewater racing.

Many children who live in North, South, and Central Richmond have never been on an ocean beach, even though it is less than 20 miles from their home. The world-famous Golden Gate Bridge stretches off in the horizon, a symbol of the proximity of wonders that are out of their reach.

Youth Enrichment Strategies provides children and families access to experiences in the natural environment – opportunities that can ignite the imagination, build self-confidence and enhance social skills. Exposure to an array of enriching experiences create a child’s sense of possibilities and provide the foundation for success.
